Their four kids all grew up in the Four Oaks Youth Ministry. Steve graduated from medical school in 1987, and served his Family Medicine residency at the USAF Hospital Eglin. Following tours at Warner Robins, GA and Honolulu, HI, Steve began his civilian career at Capital Health Plan, where he continues today. In addition to his role as elder at Four Oaks Killearn, Steve also serves as a community group leader. He and Janna, his wife of 38 years, have four children and nine grandchildren. He met his wife Beth in Orlando while he served in the Navy and she attended college. They married three years later in 1992 and now have four children, Hannah, Adam, Sarah and Will. Aaron has worked in the nonprofit arena focusing on relationship building and fund development since 1996. He is currently with the Florida Chamber Foundation. Beth began her career as a high school French teacher. About a year after their first child was born, she then dedicated herself to raising their four children, homeschooling them and continuing to teach French and ESL in small group settings. They have been part of the church since the original Easter service in spring of 1990. John was part of the original elder board and has served on and off the board since its founding. John opened a branch of Peter Brown Construction Company in Tallahassee in 1990 and eventually became one of three owners of the company. The firm was sold to PBS&J in 2008 and he retired in 2010. John and Margie have raised three kids at Four Oaks and are now grandparents to four grandchildren. John and Margie have a heart for marriage ministry and currently lead the ministry called “Reengage” at Four Oaks. He has served as a deacon, community group leader and then as an elder since 2008. Tom grew up in Miami and met Janet at church when they were both teenagers. They have been married since 1972. After attending FSU and Emory University, Tom embarked on a career as a general dentist and subsequently landed in Tallahassee where he and Janet have lived since 1977. Recently retired from practicing dentistry in 2017, he and his wife enjoy spending time with family, reading, gardening and other outdoor activities. Tom and Janet have two grown children and five grandchildren. Five granddaughters keep Tom and Janet busy with life! Mike met his future wife Prudence in 1981 at the Christian Campus Fellowship ministry at Florida State University and were married in 1982. Mike has worked in the computer field since 1982, and is currently a Senior Research Associate at FSU. Pru has taught Spanish at Maclay School since 1980. Their son Paul and daughter Christen were part of the Four Oaks youth ministries (led by Paul Gilbert). Paul and Christen are each married and now live in Raleigh and Birmingham, respectively. They have been part of the church since the original Easter service in spring of 1990. John was part of the original elder board and has served on and off the board since its founding. John opened a branch of Peter Brown Construction Company in Tallahassee in 1990 and eventually became one of three owners of the company. The firm was sold to PBS&J in 2008 and he retired in 2010. John and Margie have raised three kids at Four Oaks and are now grandparents to four grandchildren. John and Margie have a heart for marriage ministry and currently lead the ministry called “Reengage” at Four Oaks. off the elder board in 2021. He began serving as an elder in 2012 and has been a member of Four Oaks Church, along with his wife, Robyn, since 2003. They met at Florida State University as members of the Marching Chiefs and were married in 1986 in Robyn’s hometown of Bradenton. They have been blessed with six children ranging in age from 15 to 29. Dave grew up in a PCA church before settling under the Southern Baptist umbrella with Robyn during their early married years. They are blessed and grateful that God led them to the Four Oaks family. Dave founded Fiore Communications, an integrated marketing firm, in 2001 and is the host of the How I Got Here podcast. He is involved in several community groups including Sunrise Rotary, Leadership Tallahassee, and Capital Tiger Bay Club. Robyn, a former public school teacher, has been homeschooling their children for more than 20 years. They currently have three FSU graduates, two in college and the youngest in high school. He has served Four Oaks as an elder since 2001. Mike met his future wife Prudence in 1981 at the Christian Campus Fellowship ministry at Florida State University and were married in 1982. Mike has worked in the computer field since 1982, and is currently a Senior Research Associate at FSU. Pru has taught Spanish at Maclay School since 1980. Their son Paul and daughter Christen were part of the Four Oaks youth ministries (led by Paul Gilbert). Paul and Christen are each married and now live in Raleigh and Birmingham, respectively. Mike’s favorite author is C. S. He is married to Karen and they have two children, Anna Grace and Paul. Pete has served alongside his wife as a Redemption Group leader since the inception of the ministry. Pete also participates in the Four Oaks Praise and Worship Band, playing drums. When Pete’s not at church he works as a technology consultant for a Washington DC-based firm. He met his wife Beth in Orlando while he served in the Navy and she attended college. They married three years later in 1992 and now have four children, Hannah, Adam, Sarah and Will. Aaron has worked in the nonprofit arena focusing on relationship building and fund development since 1996. He is currently with the Florida Chamber Foundation. Beth began her career as a high school French teacher. About a year after their first child was born, she then dedicated herself to raising their four children, homeschooling them and continuing to teach French and ESL in small group settings. He is a native of Tallahassee and attended Florida State University where he first met Melissa at the Baptist Student Ministries. Jason is a civil engineer at the City of Tallahassee. Jason serves as a community group leader and coach and as a small group leader on Wednesday nights with the youth group. Melissa leads women's Bible studies, serves in children’s ministry, and is a Guardian Ad Litem volunteer. In his spare time, Jason enjoys playing tennis, hiking, BBQing and all things FSU athletics. They have been part of the church since the original Easter service in spring of 1990. John was part of the original elder board and has served on and off the board since its founding. John opened a branch of Peter Brown Construction Company in Tallahassee in 1990 and eventually became one of three owners of the company. The firm was sold to PBS&J in 2008 and he retired in 2010. John and Margie have raised three kids at Four Oaks and are now grandparents to four grandchildren. John and Margie have a heart for marriage ministry and currently lead the ministry called “Reengage” at Four Oaks. He has served as a deacon, community group leader and then as an elder since 2008. Tom grew up in Miami and met Janet at church when they were both teenagers. They have been married since 1972. After attending FSU and Emory University, Tom embarked on a career as a general dentist and subsequently landed in Tallahassee where he and Janet have lived since 1977. Recently retired from practicing dentistry in 2017, he and his wife enjoy spending time with family, reading, gardening and other outdoor activities. Tom and Janet have two grown children and five grandchildren. Five granddaughters keep Tom and Janet busy with life! Tom’s favorite Christian authors are Ravi Zacharias (for his strong defense of the Gospel), Steve Brown (for his down-to-earth look at life), and Max Lucado (for his ability to write beautiful,
